Dad's HQ Holden Kingswood

My father's 1973 HQ Holden Kingswood, an Australian made product of the General Motors-Holden Corporation. This photo was taken in 1978 using a box brownie camera, somewhere, maybe Mt. Cootha in Brisbane. I can't remember. Note to self: write locations on backs of old photos.

Lang Park or as its now known, Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane Australia, 1992 and 2011

I have numerous fond memories of Lang Park (now Suncorp Stadium), Brisbane's famous football ground. In particular, I cherish attending (with my father) the 1981 Grand Final between Redcliffe and Souths (won by Souths in the last minute 13-9), and the 1985 Grand Final Between Wynumn-Manly and Souths (won by Souths 10-8).  We were happy Souths supporters. 

The grandstand above is the Ron McCauliffe Stand.

These 1992 photos were taken at the commencement of the first of two major re-developments. The gates were unlocked, so we were able to walk in with our cameras and take photos.

The photo above shows the site of the old Frank Burke Stand, demolished in 1992 and ready for re-construction.
